Lessons of life March 2916 edition by Jeff Schrembs
Since no one sought me out to get my thoughts about lessons of life I now post them on this blog. PS: take your shoes off and thanks for visiting.
Life. It means many different things to many people.
It can mean the existence of a woman becoming pregnant.
It can mean the holding of a hand to someone who is hospitalized.
It can mean waking up early to make breakfast for two.
It can mean dreading the filing of income tax returns.
It can mean the relationship between two people.
It can mean the gentleness, blessings, and grave of God.
It can mean the joy between friends.
Life is many things and thus the lessons of life are never ending.
I can attest at 53 that I learn new things often and I am still a work in progress.
If I had to list 5 lessons of life then here they are jack (jack is a seldom used "cool word" that was prevalent back in the 1960s and 70s).
1 Life is never guaranteed in length, or quality, of
2 Where a person starts in life does not dictate what they will become
3 Believing in, and being thankful to, God should be effortless. One only has to look in the eyes of a newborn. In the beauty of nature. The fact that if the earth was a fraction of an inch closer to the sun then man would not exist (the mathematical calculation is astronomical and the odds of earth being right where it is to the sun to absorb the suns rays without killing everything is trillions x trillions x trillions to one).
4 Working to improve oneself is honorable
5 Seeking out the SOURCE of knowledge (i.e. firsthand in their own words, in their own writings, in their own works, etc.) is the best way to learn. When you depend on third parties, or peers, or teachers with an agenda, to learn and/or to shape your opinions/values then you will always be left...wanting
There I have shared my thoughts and please feel free to share wit others via social media
Take care and may God bless you and yours
