Kudos to the University of Kentucky, and North Carolina, who raised in excess of $ 1,500,000.00 to be divided between 17 charities being; 4 Paws For Ability, The Starkey Hearing Foundation, Kids 2 Camp, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Equip, John Maxwell Group, Golden Door Scholars, CISE, Stand Up To Cancer, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Louisville Zoo, Alltech Sustainable Haiti Project, United Way of Central Kentucky, UNC Children's Hospital, HOF Legacy Fund in Memory of Dean Smith, Samaritan's Feet, Urban League of Lexington-Fayette County, Team Focus, and the Starkey Hearing Foundation (who will receive $ 100,000.00).
Kentucky, who at one time was up by 30 points, won the game by a score of 122 - 115.
A sincere thanks goes out to; the coaches, the players, the universities, the fans, the staff, the alumni, the students, the administrators, all of their family members, etc. for putting on this honorable event.
After the game North Carolina proposed that Kentucky visit North Carolina next year for a rematch. UK's coach John Calapari, who was inducted in the basketball Hall of Fame this week, said that "maybe we will do that next year - we'll look into to".
For Kentucky, they'll have Devin Booker DeMarcus Cousins, Willie Cauley-Stein, James Young, Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Eric Bledsoe, Terrence Jones, Karl Anthony-Towns, Trey Lyles, and Dakari Johnson.
For UNC, Dexter Strickland, Leslie McDonald, Shammond Williams, Bobby Frasor, James Michael-Mcadoo, Harrison Barnes, Wes Miller, and Jerry Stackhouse will play.
